urban grace id.

i hope everyone had a fabulous halloween weekend. there wasn't much celebrating in the ballard household, unfortunately. we caught up on our dvr and chilled out after a crazy, hectic week. and now we enter none other than my birthday month. though, as each year passes, meaning i'm getting older, (because that's how that works...) i'm not sure how much longer i will actually celebrate my birthday month. it seems like a good idea at the time, but being the true scorpio that i am i'm sure it will go on for quite awhile.

i'm not sure why i haven't blogged about urban grace before. i absolutely adore her style, personality, and just overall cuteness that is urban grace. i was introduced to her by my dear friend elaina (whom should move back to the oc immediately), and ever since then i have been a huge fan. let's get started on the goodness. erika powell established urban grace in 2005; they have been published many, many times, and have immaculate taste and high end design style. i catch up with her and her staff every so often on the urban grace blog. and this is by far my favorite post. a day in the life of a designer. it's so fun to see her daily life, especially now with a baby, and see to how much it relates to your own (i love pure barre!). i have to say, the Excedrin bottle really hit home with me. i also take those pills like vitamins. here are a FEW of her portfolio images that i adore. i'm hoping she posts more soon so i can have more ammo for a sequel post. happy november 1st and jolene birthday month to everyone. jolene.

a copper sink. holy omigoodness.

this is my favorite kitchen (above) from her thus far. tiny blue knobs. open shelving. blue, pink, and green. is it wrong to want her to design my kitchen and i'm a designer?

green eames aluminum management chairs. i always default to white. why don't i ever think of green?

her profile mentions her attention to detail. i can see that here in the specification of the refrigerator doors. opposite hinges and swings. loving that, and also loving the color of the cabinets.

pop of blue. i always die over a pop of blue.
