Welcome to Femme de Brocante based in Rangiora, outside of Christchurch. This shop has been mentioned to me by two clients over the last week. After some investigation and the shocking earthquake that happened over the weekend around Christchurch, it seemed appropriate to pay tribute to them today. Founded in 2006 by Jo and Emily, FdB was created to bring affordable designer fabrics to the public. They source fabrics from Europe, USA and India and while these fabric would normally retail up to $200 per metre, FdB sell their entire quality designer fabrics at wholesale prices - usually between $10.00 to $55.00 per metre. Score! My client has a Ralph Lauren fabric that she adores and paying only $35.00 per metre. Just amazing.
Check out their Facebook page where they post photos of some their fabric range as well as other accessories that they stock (you don't need to be on FB to have a look). And if you're keen on something, just give them a call. They are happy to send samples and cuttings throughout New Zealand.
