amanda posted about the plam springs ace hotel here. i wanted to take a trip to it on labor day but didn't pull the trigger. did you know...they have multiple locations? i want to specifically show you their portland nugget. jolene.
this is the front desk. tucked away in a library setting. i wonder if there is a box marked 'hipster' on the employee application that you must check in order to be hired. i would not be hired if that were the case.
cozy is the adjective that comes to mind here. i can see myself sitting with a spiked hot chocolate waiting for a cab to tour the city.
what a perfect solution for a narrow hallway. lengthen the door height with moulding and black paint. i'm also excited to see them using a solid colored rug. i feel like most hotel use extreme patterns in hallways that just lead to vertigo in the end.
reclaimed wood on the headboard wall. so green and natural.
my favorite room of the bunch. can you guess why? i'm obsessed...
the art on this wall is from a local portland artist. i love when companies commission talented people from the community. it really helps in creating a local flavor of the city for the tourist.
no storage? use coat hooks. most everything you use can be hung on a hook...your robe, necklaces, and of course a towel.
