this weekend was great. (except that usa lost...dammit). on saturday amanda and i went to la for some furniture shopping (though, the intention was to go to the dwell convention). some things just don't go the way they are planned, and that is ok. at least i'm learning that is ok. we saw so many celebrities on saturday that it was well worth being off of schedule.
on to the post. i really love kate spade. i love her simple name, the fact that she is a midwesterner, her simple style, really everything. though, i have to admit, i own nothing of hers. that's right. zero things. i do have a special place in my heart for her, does that count for something? here are some amazing pictures of her stores with great design. enjoy. jolene.

make shift rug by adjusting the angle of stripes on the floor. so genius.
amanda and i saw the best green sofa this weekend, it was exactly this green. we need to design with this green in mind. next project.
