so i bought this Chinese wedding cabinet off of Ebay close to three years ago and I finally have all four parts put together. up to this point i had been using one part as a tv stand and the other two parts as storage. now that it's all together it's so much taller than what i had remembered, it defiantly makes a statement, which i love. to go back, i purchased it from a man who said that he had received the cabinet as a wedding gift from his wife's family in early fifties. they brought it over with them to the US some twenty years ago. he told me that he didn't really want to sell it but his wife demanded he get rid of it due to space constraints. i felt a little bad taking the cabinet from him that day, but I had already rented a truck and picked up a day worker to help me lift and move it into my storage unit. so i gave him the 2 hundy and took off with my prize. i did tell him that i was a professional interior designer and that i would take very very good care of the cabinet. so far so good. i love it! i very much enjoy finding "statement" pieces that have a story behind. they are conversation starters and are a simple way to add interest to any room. enjoy amanda
