so. guess what is happening in my world tonight? yeppers!! i'm pulling out the big gun of christmas cookie recipes. grandma a's sugar cookie recipe is hands down the best recipe i have ever tasted. this cookie recipe is BEYOND delicious and it's because there is a secret ingredient. nope. not telling ya! ok, here's a hint. there is a certain zest about these cookies. also it's the frosting. you have to add vanilla.
gayla, do NOT taste the vanilla extract! ha! when my sister was little I let her smell the vanilla extract, then I tricked her into tasting it. Ewwww I KNOW, that was so mean! sorry sis! still makes me laugh a little. love that story and love you.
