vegas + union = read below.

i can't promise a lot of great content in this particular post because i have been in vegas. i think that's a good excuse. vegas since friday. no sleep. drove home late. had the BEST time. when we were coming back yesterday, we were discussing our favorite moments (though, there are always so many), i think my personal favorite was eating at the union restaurant in aria. we stayed at aria, so most of our time was spent there, which was fantastic. we met our couple friends from iowa who i miss dearly and cry in the car every time we leave them. they are so generous, funny, and exactly like us. it makes me miss the midwest a bit when i get to see them. anyway, we went to the union on saturday night. right before this, my friend kim said she wanted to see at least one famous person that weekend. of course, you know i'm all giddy inside just hearing that it is even a possibility. (as though i don't live in the mecca for celeb sightings) new town. new celeb. i didn't think it would happen, but keep in mind i'm the best spotter. i can scan a room in seconds and know who they are and what they were in (thank you baby jesus for that gift). so in keeping all of this in mind, we love all the restaurants owned by the light group. their food is to die for, and their decor is intimate and perfect. so, i was so overly excited to check out their new digs at the union. we were all running late that night and didn't get there to eat until almost 10. we are seated. we are looking at the menu. enter scene: zac efron and vanessa hudgens. they sit to the table next to us. of course. we. cannot. believe. it. next sighting AT THEIR TABLE was brittany snow. then about 30 minutes later, up comes a couple of dudes who look hollywood and slightly familiar. my brain starts to calculate, and i realize it's ben savage from boy meets world. come on, you all know that show. i always loved the name topanga on that show and then realized it's from the canyon in la. (they don't mention that stuff to midwestern kids during the mid 90's...you have to find that out for yourself later in life) are. you. kidding. me. this is the best celebrity sighting i've had in a long time. thank you light group. on top of all of this, we had the most amazing food ever. i would drive there again (tonight) to eat it. so there you go. oh, and they were totally into each other. the whole night they were whispering, laughing, and kissing. ahhh. i am normally not afraid to ask for a picture, but for some reason i just couldn't do it. bummer. guess you'll have to take my word for it! jolene.

i'm not sure if either of these photos are from the union, but they are definitely from aria. it was great design.

yesterday, the last day, kim and i went shopping. pretty standard. we went into saks and i sprayed about 42 perfumes on myself and loving the mixed scent. though, at one moment, i put a bottle of what i thought was lotion directly into the palm of my hand, released the top, and quickly realized it was also perfume. so that was my strongest scent of the evening. i believe it was narciso rodriquez, whom i've always loved, so i think this is going to be my next purchase. i may not even shower today just so i can keep smelling this good. tmi?
