"The Great Pumpkin Patch"

Capture the spirit of autumn with a display of "The Great Pumpkin Patch." A field of hammered copper pumpkins, the shimmer of glittery candles combined with the natural elements of the outdoors, evokes the beauty of autumn and the bounty of the harvest.

Eight wonderful homes in Colorado Springs hosted the tablescapes event. What's In Store and Snob Interior Design partnered and designed the "The Great Pumpkin Patch" at a home in Old Broadmoor, benefiting CASA of the Pikes Peak Region.

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region is a nonprofit organization that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court and in the community. The desired result is that children be placed in safe, loving homes where they can thrive. Now in its 20th year, CASA of the Pikes Peak Region has served more than 5,500 children.

No final number on exactly how much was raised. I have heard an early report of $10,000!

The home tours featured inspiring table settings, kitchen decor, music, samples of delicious food and drinks and holiday how-to's and tips.

What an honor to be a part of such a wonderful cause and we had a blast. Each home was so unique and all the hostesses, designers and volunteers were so great!

The centerpiece on the dining table featured a very large birdcage filled with copper pumpkins & candle holders, glass copper ornaments, battery operated lit branches, glittery candles, leafy nests and adorable chunky doves with long tails. Chocolate Berry dishes sitting on green moss complimented and completed the table setting.

Sideboards displayed hand blown glassware with amber accents. Glass pitchers, goblets and wine glasses grouped for serving to wet your whistle.

Pumpkins and a grand floral arrangement stacked on natural suitcases, filled with green glittery acorn branches make a statement. Cover the table with glittery copper organza scrunched up and tied in random places.

The copper candle holders double as a vase. Turn upside down and fill with your favorite fall flowers and natural branches for a little extra drama.

Split peas filled the square bowl featuring the antiqued copper candle holder adding a little extra color and light.

Holiday decorating options are endless. Bring the outdoors in, a little sparkle with the natural outdoors is always a fun combination. Step out of the box for your next dinner party and take it up a notch.
