i hope everyone had a very merry holiday this past week/end. i feel, like always, these days are going by so quickly. husband and i enjoyed a relaxing 4 day weekend with friends, family, and gifts. while i was home so much i started to really get the itch to complete the kitchen...the last part of the condo i need to finalize. the other rooms need some detail, but the kitchen is a really start-from-scratch kind of renovation. that being said, i went back and forth with husband about paint colors. i think we are going to definitely paint the cabinets and go with marble countertops. i have been using some past life resources with this, and it's been an incredible experience, thus far. then paint colors come into play. i always wanted a darker kitchen with white marble countertops (lower photo), but the more husband convinced me, i think i'm swaying toward the white. our place is small, and white just makes more sense visually when walking in the door. it will truly open up our floor plan. i also have to be thinking about resale. i know the market isn't there yet, but eventually we will want a bigger place. by making this a little larger and more neutral, i think it's the way to go. what do you think? jolene.
