amanda and i have had the wonderful opportunity to meet these two fantastic la designers, jaime rummerfield and ron woodson, in person at their book signing none the less. so, it just makes sense to post about their book for our book of the week. since it's also 'get-to-know-more-about-jolene' week, one thing you should be aware of is my graphic snobbishness. i don't claim to be great at it, meaning photoshop/illustrator, but i do know a thing or two and i really enjoy well laid out graphics. which is why i am so initially attracted to this book. great graphics. great typography. fantastic photography. oh, and amazing content. i get giddy just thinking about it. the thickness of the pages. yummy. also, they have a coined a term called modage, which is superb. although, they use that as their typical style, i feel like they excel in switching styles to their clients' tastes, which is an art in itself. anyway, i could go on for days about this find, but my ultimate suggestion is to get it on your designer bookshelf stat. oh, and it doesn't hurt to have an autograph in there. happy reading! jolene.
