Welcome to Waiheke Island's The Oyster Inn. Recently opened to the public in the beachy village of Oneroa, Waiheke - doesn't it look amazing?

Take a 40 mins ferry ride from downtown Auckland and you can be dining on the ocean view vernadah, or having a cocktail in the bar or just hanging out. This is Ruschmeyer's, a hotel in Montauk, USA by the hotel group, King & Grove. While they have closed for their 2012 summer season, this is good inspiration for us getting ready for our up coming summer time. Evocative of a nautical summer camp, Ruschmeyer's has a cool relaxed vibe and is located on three acres on lakeside woodland. With plenty of activities available, the gorgeous fresh bedrooms and its own 'rum shack', you know you could have a great time here...

Scandinavian Beach House with Bright Blue Painted Floors

How cool is this Scandinavian beach house with the glossy blue floor? Remodelista have posted this image just today, however I couldn't resist and had to share. I've seen so many examples of white and dark painted floors - it's refreshing to see this summery bolt of blue for a change.

Casa de Palmela, a Holiday Home in Portugal

On this bitterly cold winter night, I am imagining that I am here at Casa de Palmela - the lovely country home belonging to interior designer, Monica Penaguiao. It is located in Palmela, just outside of Lisbon, Portugal. Such great combinations of pared-down rustic and modern, along with white and colour.
