A few months ago, the CFDA* took some time out of their devoted design schedule to collaborate on a different kind of creative project—the American Fashion Cookbook. Yes, it is as cool as it sounds. From Zac Posen's Butterscotch Wafers to Diane von Furstenberg’s Saturday Night Chicken, this compilation of 100 melt-in-your-mouth designer dishes gives us all a reason to spend more time in the kitchen. Bon Appétit!
Contrary to the Carrie Bradshaw mentality of storing clothes in the oven—I really love baking. That is not to say my schedule allows for it often, but every now and then, I do put on my chef hat. Banana bread is my specialty :). Just like fashion, culinary work is an art form. It takes years to get a recipe just right—most of us only have a handful of dishes mastered. In this creative and colorful book, the world's most influential designers share their cherished recipes for us to all indulge...so put on your favorite ensemble and bake something that is just as chic! xoRZ
