a good friend of my from high school turned me on to these oh so cute Halter Hotties (just love that name) made by kim alexander. i want to see these paired with a pair of skinny jeans, a slightly cropped tailored jacket and over the knee boots. or with a flowie (not sure flowie is a word but i'm going with it) skirt for a day at the beach. i have tons of silk scarves in my personal collection and now i finially have found another uses for them. hummmm maybe kim will make me one. pretty please kim?? you can find the HH's at www.halterhotties.com enjoy. amanda

about halter hotties! My name is Kim and like my daughter, Paris, we were entertained for hours on end with Grandma & Great Grandma’s tins of buttons while listening to the music of Mom’s Singer sewing machine. We are the proud product of generations of seamstresses. I spent the last 25 years as an interior designer of custom yachts, creating luxurious environments with glorious fabrics from all over the world. Paris recently discovered the joys of “Estate sale” treasure hunting with me. Neither one of us is capable of walking past a draped rack of colorful, flowing fabrics without gliding our hands through them.
We are a mother-daughter team, enjoying each other’s company while spending our weekends scouring antique shops & estate sales for the coveted, designer labeled, 100% silk vintage scarves, buttons & buckles. They are professionally dry cleaned by hand & transformed, ready to be worn and enjoyed. Halter Hotties are sexy yet not revealing! We’ve designed each style to gently drape the body. All sheer and light colored halters have been lined. For those of you that want some support, we suggest self~adhesive cups (sold at most department stores). Each halter top we create is a one-of-a-kind treasure with a personality and story to tell~

i love their story because i am also from a long line of sewers and my grandmother had this big box of buttons i would play with when i was kid too. she also taught me how to sew on an old singer on pieces of paper. also we have that interior designer connection. jolene and I love treasure hunting at flea markets and estate sales and most recently jolene has become quite good at finding the most incredible items on craigslist. kim and paris thanks for creating halter hotties. if you are ever in the socal area look us up and we will go hunting together.
