Get the Look for Less

One of my favourite stores right now is Dynamite. It's so affordable and offers trendy and popular looks for much less. Here a couple of celebrity inspired pieces that I own that I LOVE.

At the Friends with Benefits movie premiere in July 2011, the always fashionable Olivia Palermo donned this ultra sheer white blouse with a maxi printed skirt. The sheer blouse has become a major trend for many celebrities.
Dynamite offered the look for less with this sheer white blouse for under $30. When I bought mine, they only had a size Small when I usually wear an Extra Small, but the loose look works! (It looks less sheer when it's on)

Anybody out there a fan of Gossip Girl? I am, and I loved the character Charlie Rhodes in this gold, sparkly sweater. Unfortunately, it's a bit out of the budget. Alice + Olivia Crewneck Rhinestone Sweater for $330

Although not an exact match, this sequined sweater from Dynamite achieves the same look and vibe for only $18! It was the perfect sweater for the holidays, but isn't too festive so it can be worn year round. Money well spent.
Hope you enjoyed, now go out and shop! You don't have to have the income of a celebrity to look like one.
Love always, Tiffany Leigh

I Like...

I like...this relaxing window spot in actress Courteney Cox's home, now featured in the latest Elle Decor magazine. Apparently Courteney wanted to be an architect before she became an actress. Interesting.

Celebrity Home Perve.

Reese Witherspoon's ranch in Ojai, California.

The interiors of the ranch before Witherspoon brought it.

For a bit of entertainment news -  lovely actress Reese Witherspoon got married this week at her home in Ojai, California. For a bit of celebrity lifestyle perving, I found images of Witherspoon's Ojai ranch in its former guise as the home of American interior designer Kathryn M. Ireland. Who knows how different the interiors look now, however, it was here that Reese married her man in a "rustic farm-style" wedding. Nice. If you want to see more, go here.

Celebrity Style - Sarah Jessica Parker

The Kitchen - you can 'Steal This Look' here.

70's chair covered in denim.

Remodelista shows you how to Steal This Look.

Main Bedroom.

It's always interesting to see how the celebrities live, isn't it?
Here is an Elle Decor article on Sarah Jessica Parker's Bridgehampton holiday house designed by Eric Hughes. I came across this via Remodelista who profiled the bathroom and kitchen as Steal this Look chapters.
I like that it is a fresh, comfortable and a very liveable home - not fancy or showy at all.

dennis hopper home.

monday. monday. monday. and the last monday in july at that. you knew i had to give an update on the date and day of the week. for some reason i feel the need to point out the obvious at all times.

so, most of you know i like myself some celebrities. what do i like more than celebrities? (other than friends and family, of course...once again...pointing out the obvious). interior design. duh. well, that combo leads me to show off a celebrity home that is currently on the market. though, it is the home of the late dennis hopper. tear. it was a sad, sad day back in may when he passed. it's kind of weird to see this listing because of him being gone, but he had such great style and character that is well reflected in this hopper compound; i felt the need to share it with y'all. yes, it is a compound. his property consists of 5 buildings. and a lap pool. and a pool house. check out his venice digs. may he rest in peace and may someone who enjoys great architecture purchase this compound. (for me). jolene.

ellen on elle.

since i'm posting this on thursday, i'm sure everyone will have seen this home in the blogworld or in your mailbox, but i couldn't help but post this lovely home from elle decor. ellen pompeo and her digs in the hollywood hills made the front cover of this month's issue. of course these are the only 'sneak peak' photos from the site, so i guess you'll have to purchase the issue to see the perfectly designed master bedroom (or sneak it into a corner at barnes and noble...). martyn lawrence-bullard is the muse behind this abode. omg. the white walls, tall ceilings, and spanish-style is everything i dream of owning one day. maybe i'll have to build mine back in iowa to afford it...jolene.

the rest of the photos below are from martyn's portfolio of amazingness.

the headboard, bedding, and lamp shades are really great statement pieces in this photo. every time i see new bedroom inspiration images, i always change my mind about what i want my bedroom to look like at the end of the day (i hate that cliche, but felt like adding it). amanda, want to come over and paint my walls white? hugs and neck tugs.

i have been and always will be a fan of the round table. it creates more collaboration as there is no 'head-of-the-table' in charge. everyone has equal viewing opportunities, and it is also great for card playing.

this piece at the end of the bed is something i should consider when designing for clients. it has storage, and it's holding amanda's favorite osa martin book.

kelly rip(ped)a.

i'm going to admit it. i like to watch regis and kelly. i have them on my dvr, and i catch up on their show on the weekends. i am in love with her wardrobe. if you held me at gun point and asked whom i would love to have as a celebrity style icon. in a matter of milliseconds, hands down, kelly ripa. i found this great article about the day in the life of the daytime tv co-host. i also find myself really appreciating her toned arms. some say they are too toned, perhaps, but i find it goal-worthy and motivating to see her that fit. (husband is grimacing). all of the opinions aside, i truly appreciate working mothers who find time for themselves. although i don't have children, i believe when that time comes, i will find it necessary to make time for myself. so check out some of these fantasical shots from this article. jolene.

rachel zoe. loves.

post number two of the day. can you tell i'm feeling guilty about monday's post? i came across this on apartment therapy today, and i thought: i. must. find. more. photos. it's of rachel zoe's home. though, this season she was filmed in an apartment building, so i am thinking this was her pad last season and they sold it? anyway. i go bananas when her show comes on, and i just die when the season is over. i know i'm not alone. here are a couple pictures of her amazing modern home. also, below this post is one of my office teaser. jolene.

seacrest out. and about.

it's now november. which i cannot believe. for those of you who don't know, it's officially my birthday month; that's right. we scorpios celebrate our birthday for the entire month of november. i wonder if i'll still be that way when i get a little older?

on to the next subject. ryan seacrest. last week, amanda posted on shrimpton couture and stole my thunder (i'm over it), so this week i get to post on our most recent celeb sighting. mr. ryan seacrest. many, or most, of you may not care, but he is on the top of my list of who i want to see. we went to ceconni's on saturday for a goodbye lunch for our friend elaina who happens to be moving to atl. so sad. it was the perfect day, perfect location, and a perfect lunch. i saw him immediately when we came to the hostess stand to put our name on the list. i was speechless. which is rare. the kicker to this story is this past week i learned i am allergic to my makeup (specifically my eye makeup), but for some reason this means i'm not allowed to wear ANY makeup (i know, wtf) for 10 days. this day happened to be day 1. dammit. no pictures with the a-lister for this gal (believe me, i'm not afraid to ask a celeb for a photo, so this was tough for my soul). the only good to come out of that situation has to be being able to buy chanel makeup from now on. back to the stalking. so we of course went inside to wait for our table and get pictures taken with him behind us. see below.

and finally...today's post. designer katie leede has design firm digs by katie. i just love the name. katie is from texas, but now resides in the la area where she creates magnificent designs. i tried to limit myself on the amount of pictures i was putting on here (mainly because i have a pc...ugh...and it takes forever to crop photos), but i just couldn't resist leaving any out from her portfolio. they are just fantastic. so although i recommend checking out her website, you will recognize 97% of her photos from this post. enjoy dbk. jolene.

amanda, myself, elaina, ryan seacrest

we need this fixture for our client, wendy.

loving the color palette.

perhaps not kid friendly, but loving the elephant tusks.

neutral palette with pops of color and amazing flowers. i die.

i so want this to be an ant farm. ok, not really. but it would be cool.

would be perfect for my entryway.

pretty colors.
