Visualizing a Tile Project with Olioboard

As a designer it's not difficult for me to visualize what a space would look like with a new color of paint, furniture, window treatments or tile.

That's my job, to help my clients visualize what their space will look like.

Using tools to convey a vision.

I can pick out the elements, show where my inspiration comes from and then present it to a client.  But can they visualize the space?

Well, I've been using this tool called Olioboard...ha, ha!
(if you're part of the Snob Mob, you know what I'm talking about)

Such a great way for clients to see what their space can look like!

What a great start to to a remodel!

You can follow all of my Olioboards here...

Are you ready for Thanksgiving?  Is dinner at your home and you still need a few decorating ideas for the table?

Wayfair has a little Pinterest contest going on right now.  Since I LOVE tablescapes, I couldn't resist.

This is a collection created on Olioboard of a few items I pinned on Pinterest.

TGIF and have a super weekend!

Snob Shots

Today I'm sharing a few Snob Shots of a backsplash completed November of last year.

I just love this recycled Vitrex glass tile.  The mix of tones in each tile really pulls together all of the colors of the kitchen, The cohesiveness of the space is very nice.

A simple subway pattern and great tile is all that's needed for a great backdrop.

On another note, I'm excited to bring you a full collection of Madison Avenue Fab Fabrics this week!  Just a few have been introduced so far. I hope this collection and some that follow inspire you to work on a space you have been thinking about but haven't tackled yet.  Happy Tuesday!

ON THE BOARDER

I love, love, love tile projects!
One of my most recent bathroom assignments, I placed a border around the entire floor of the room.

I love creating borders with unique tiles. They may display patterns, textures or have a blend of wonderful colors to make them pop.

Defining the edges of the bathroom really makes a statement.  No matter where tile is placed it should
be beautiful.

Featured on the cover of this month's At Home In Arkansas, is my favorite designer, Tobi Fairley.
With photos of an absolutely beautiful Kitchen and Bath design, she defines the floor with a sea glass tile border.

It really adds that little extra pop of color and grounds the all white room, don't
you think?

I know my boundaries, what are yours?

Making the Grade: Schoolhouse Reveal

This bathroom exam is complete.

Good grades are so important!

The teachers handed out a Men's and Women's Restroom project.

I started with doing my homework.  Then, I touched base with my teachers to make sure I was on the right track. Studying for my exam on a regular basis helps me to keep my grade up. Finally, I took my test...

The Men's Bathroom came first.

Next, came the Women's...

I have not received my test results yet, what do you think?

Let's begin class.
