The inspiring home of Emma Persson Lagerberg | House tour

Last week, I pinned this lovely image in my workspaces board. As I try to work from home one day a week, it is the kind of atmosphere that would suit me perfectly* - a little mood board on the wall for inspiration, my Urbanears headphones to listen to Vanessa Paradis, a nice table lamp like the Milk lamp I have in our lounge or this industrial lamp and a few decoration books (talking of which today is the last day to enter this competition). This home office is located in the home of Emma Persson Lagerberg - a stylist who regularly works with one of my favourite photographers: Petra Bindel.
There is a lot of beautiful decoration details to take on in this family home.
- the palette of silver, white, wood and pale green in the kitchen -  very soothing (this pale green reminds me of the boxes of Ladurée teas I have in my cupboard),
- the corner filled with books, lovely prints and wooden stools- very inviting,
- the kids beds put next to each other to give them more space to play, the huge blackboard blackboard to favour their creativity,
- the white floorboards throughout the flat to bounce back the light. I could go on and on.
What details do you love the most?

*not today though...I'm working from my parents' home and my mum keeps interrupting me to tell me about people who launched websites and are millionaires....
{Thank you for leaving a comment. Reading them always makes me very happy}

A shop turned into a home | house tour

Wow...temperatures have seriously dropped since yesterday. It even snowed near Aix-en-Provence chez Lau. With the recent events, I feel like hibernating under my duvet, reading the Nordic eco Ideas from Paumes and my mum's decoration magazines until it's warm and nice again. This morning, we're off to the food market and then we will spend some time with my mamie.
To keep myself busy, I have been catching up on my favorite blogs and found this shop that was turned into a lovely home in Sweden (Gotland). There is so many details I love about this place...the metro-style tiles in the kitchen, the large, welcoming diner table, the old butcher unit, the kitchen units and the old floorboards - lots of details that feel warm & cosy.
What do you think? Move in or move on?

{Thank you for leaving a comment. Reading them always makes me very happy}

Fluo & pastel touches

Thank you so much for all your feedback on these two shots for our Spring/Summer catalogue 2012. It was very helpful and interesting (we got lots of feedback on Facebook and Twitter too) and we have now re-shot the BAU pendant light and the San-Francisco map print incorporating most feedback.
Having worked a lot lately around blues, greys, wood and whites, it was nice to see something different such as the home of Norwegian ceramist Silje Aune Eriksen, featured in the latest issue of Elle Decoration Norway.
I love the touches of pastels and pink masking tape that liven up her gorgeous flat, the beams and love, love, love the last shot of the vintage metal cabinet with storage boxes on top of it....another one to add to this series of visually inspiring storage solutions.
Enjoy!

Mérésine: house tour in B&W

Last Summer, I had a lovely, creative encounter...
Sandrine Ziegler-Munck, the designer behind Mérésine , Hervé and their children Paul and Fleur rented out our holiday home in France. With our creative backgrounds, we thought it would be nice to get to know each other around a glass of wine (which turned into a great dinner party) when everybody was back from the beach.
Sandrine launched Mérésine fourteen years ago with a collection of home accessories made of resin and I remember perfectly her iconic bulldog lights during my first years at M&O. In 2007,
avid collector of religious art, she bought a bunch of religious medals that inspired her to create a jewellery collection - it's was a success! Three years later, inspired by Paul's birth, she launched a clothing range for children, which was modern, fresh and comfy...it was also a success
If you are in France, you are bound to have heard of Mérésine because they have been featured in some of the best magazines: Marie-Claire Maison, Milk, Elle, Elle Decoration, Residences etc...
Sandrine's gorgeous home is featured in Marie-Claire Maison this month and it looks absolutely amazing! I'm loving the striking black floorboards and the old stained cupboard below. The trompe-l'oeil on the wall looks terrific and reminds me of the wall stickers by Maison Martin Margiela.
Everything is beautifully styled and I can't wait for us to catch up with them next Summer.

Gosh, I love this kitchen!

She said after spending her Sunday painting her daughter's inside cupboards in bubble gum pink while catching up on Superior Interiors listening to Kelly Hoppen (who by the way has a very calming voice)
But it is true, this is the kind of pare down, minimalist, natural interiors that I like and the kind of soft industrial look I would like to achieve in our kitchen blending natural materials such as wood, linen, stone and ceramic. Elodie has a similar old farm table in her home in Paris which she dresses with a couple of linen runners we used to have in the boutique and it's just beautiful. Entertaing friends in this space must be bliss...I love the natural light, the simplicity of the pendant lights, the carefully selected B&W art print.
via NNZ Domizil

Axel Vervoordt's home

This is the home of belgian designer: Axel Vervoordt which frankly is a pure beauty and exactly the kind of spaces I found calming. Although I think I would need some kind of workspace somewhere in the house, where I could put moodboards on the wall and go crazy with images and MT masking tapes!

Kavka's home

Asia and I share a love for the work and style of Jacqueline Morabito but I really love Asia's own style and find her home a great source of inspiration. I love how she spreads monochrome touches around her home and how her house feels like a home....relaxing, inviting, creative and personal.
Looking at her photos below, I have white envy...I spent Sunday afternoon in our top guest bedroom. I wanted to style the room and put together a mini photo studio but I ended up sorting out/ shredding lots of papers and putting lots of our old CDs on MusicMagpie which actually felt quite relaxing. I hadn't had a 'slow weekend' for months. Between travelling, DIY and shooting our first catalogue, things have been incredibly hectic.
But on Sunday, with the rain outside, there was something quite comforting in drinking tea from the comfort of my home and doing simple, mundane things.
