The inspiring home of Emma Persson Lagerberg | House tour

Last week, I pinned this lovely image in my workspaces board. As I try to work from home one day a week, it is the kind of atmosphere that would suit me perfectly* - a little mood board on the wall for inspiration, my Urbanears headphones to listen to Vanessa Paradis, a nice table lamp like the Milk lamp I have in our lounge or this industrial lamp and a few decoration books (talking of which today is the last day to enter this competition). This home office is located in the home of Emma Persson Lagerberg - a stylist who regularly works with one of my favourite photographers: Petra Bindel.
There is a lot of beautiful decoration details to take on in this family home.
- the palette of silver, white, wood and pale green in the kitchen -  very soothing (this pale green reminds me of the boxes of Ladurée teas I have in my cupboard),
- the corner filled with books, lovely prints and wooden stools- very inviting,
- the kids beds put next to each other to give them more space to play, the huge blackboard blackboard to favour their creativity,
- the white floorboards throughout the flat to bounce back the light. I could go on and on.
What details do you love the most?

*not today though...I'm working from my parents' home and my mum keeps interrupting me to tell me about people who launched websites and are millionaires....
{Thank you for leaving a comment. Reading them always makes me very happy}

A shop turned into a home | house tour

Wow...temperatures have seriously dropped since yesterday. It even snowed near Aix-en-Provence chez Lau. With the recent events, I feel like hibernating under my duvet, reading the Nordic eco Ideas from Paumes and my mum's decoration magazines until it's warm and nice again. This morning, we're off to the food market and then we will spend some time with my mamie.
To keep myself busy, I have been catching up on my favorite blogs and found this shop that was turned into a lovely home in Sweden (Gotland). There is so many details I love about this place...the metro-style tiles in the kitchen, the large, welcoming diner table, the old butcher unit, the kitchen units and the old floorboards - lots of details that feel warm & cosy.
What do you think? Move in or move on?

{Thank you for leaving a comment. Reading them always makes me very happy}

{White Styling} from the weekend....

On Sunday, our photographer Francois and I shot the BODIE and FOU White Christmas collection* in a gorgeous family home in West London (big thanks to Greg & Amanda for their wonderful welcome).
Steve went for a bike ride with his friend so I took Mila with us on the shoot and well, now that she is 7, she no longer can be bothered to model for me so all I get now is her feet...but here is a sneak-peek of what's coming...
I'm so in love with everything...
The tealight holders are made of bone china with a matte finish and come with a STAR or HEART design. They are gorgeous and very stylish (£13 each).
I use stars a lot to decorate our home so I'm a huge fan of this beautiful decorative star (only £15) and this little polar bear family (£28 for a set of Papa Bear and Baby bear) is just a-do-rable and will look perfect in a nursery or kids bedroom.
The paper Christmas decorations come in set of 3 and you get a bell, a ball and a tree for only £4 and fo course there is the beautiful Paulistano chair that one of our customers in Australia has bought last week for his wife's Christmas present - How nice is this!?

PS: You can request a copy of our new catalogue out in October here
The stocks have arrived and will be online in about a week but feel free to call us if you want to receive them now.

Weekend in whites

I can't tell how how glad I am it's Friday! I'm absolutely exhausted...
I'm still on jury service staying in touch with the office to finish our SS/12 catalogue (thanks God Sophie is doing a magnificent job liaising with our creative agency), re-ordering more stock of La Tropezienne bags as we only have 8 left out of the 40 bags we recently received, more wooden desks, more Ball chairs, more tutus, more of everything!!
More is good right! :-)
I'm behind schedule on the revamping of the site mais tant pis!
Elodie has arrived last night (very late!) to stay with us for a long weekend and I can't wait to spend the weekend with her.
While I was waiting for her last night, I spent some time on Pinterest and created a new board called Whites ...I know...not hugely original but it does what it says on the tin :-)
Here are my favourites for today...
1. My home 2. Sweet Paul 3. Rising Objects (I bought a similar pair in leather at Spitafields market a couple of weeks ago) 4 & 5. Bubbelsoda: Gorgeous tutu which reminds me of these 6. FK (if I stare at my headphones long enough it may motivate me to go for a run despite the rain) 7. Industrial lamp by House Doctor DK 8. Anouk B

Birthday girl in white heaven...

Today, I'm turning 43 and I have to say that I'm happy...Not that it is my Birthday, I don't really care (except when my family forgets about it but they didn't...), no I'm happy because I feel good in my own skin and happy with what I have in my life.
I live with the love of my life who not only I think, is good-looking but has great taste and showered me with beautiful gifts this morning from Mont Blanc and COS.
I have a wonderful child who is becoming an amazing, funny and witty little person, a business that I'm passionate about.
I have friends that I have known for 25 years and others that I only met online but who are very much present in my daily life.
I have a first catalogue that received an Award early this week, a great team and people around me I enjoy working with.
I have still fire in my belly and the willingness to try things, take risk and I have decided that I will make the most of what rest of my life and if you're still not convinced, read this wonderful article by Marc Winn who I adore, on the advantage of being happy.

Below is another home designed by my design hero Jacqueline Morabito...as usual, very beautiful and you can still get a few Morabito designs on BODIE and FOU here.

I could/want to live there

I have been having a strong migraine since Wednesday evening and I could cry...well actually I did a bit this am, it was so painful. I don't know if it was down to my Pilates session or a bug going around but whatever it is, I'm not a happy bunny. Over 24 hours is a very long time to have your head doing BABOUM BABOUM!
Can someone give me a lift to this wonderful place to recover please...

Parma Lilac

This is the calming, minimalist home of Interior Designer of Janie Jackson, who has turned her Notting Hill home into a showroom for her online shop Parma Lilac (one of my favourite online stores)
In a few seconds of madness a few years ago, I thought we ought to do the same with BODIE and FOU :-) I liked the idea of having people around....Steve not so much....not that he doesn't enjoy having people around but having gone through the first year of trading, operating the business from home and having all our stock in every single room of our flat, by the time we moved the business into a warehouse a year later, there was no going back EVER to mixing work and family life to that extend...except when we are shooting our catalogue and talking of which, we've started working on the Summer one so if you wish to receive a copy, click here or follow our progress on facebook

Kavka's home

Asia and I share a love for the work and style of Jacqueline Morabito but I really love Asia's own style and find her home a great source of inspiration. I love how she spreads monochrome touches around her home and how her house feels like a home....relaxing, inviting, creative and personal.
Looking at her photos below, I have white envy...I spent Sunday afternoon in our top guest bedroom. I wanted to style the room and put together a mini photo studio but I ended up sorting out/ shredding lots of papers and putting lots of our old CDs on MusicMagpie which actually felt quite relaxing. I hadn't had a 'slow weekend' for months. Between travelling, DIY and shooting our first catalogue, things have been incredibly hectic.
But on Sunday, with the rain outside, there was something quite comforting in drinking tea from the comfort of my home and doing simple, mundane things.
