BODIE and FOU Voted Best Interior Shops by ELLE DECORATION NORWAY

Trop coooool!!!!
I've just found out that BODIE and FOU have been voted Best Interior Shops by ELLE DECORATION NORWAY
I always get super excited when we get featured in Elle Decoration Norway because... well, it's Elle Deco (!!) and secondly because my great grand-father was Norwegian.
At least it was the story that my dad told me until I was 16 "your grand-dad was a sailor, blabla...Köng comes from Koening meaning King, blablabla" and in fact, knowing that the Viking spirit was running in my blood gave me some kind of pride and a great answer to all the stupid boys at school who thought they were hilarious when they were calling me King-Kong.
And then at the age of 16, my dad told me that actually he wasn't sure and my great grand-dad may have been from Switzerland....
What!? So not only I'm no longer the daughter of a Viking but now it seems that the grand-dad was a bit of slapper with wives in every port from Norway to Switzerland...great!
To this day, I have no idea where the name comes from but I shall stick to my Viking story!

My home in Scotland on Sunday

I'm almost feeling ashamed posting this. We had had so my great press coverage lately, it's absolutely insane and you are probably getting fed up seeing my face and my home all the time :-)
I have finally received the pdf of the article featured in Scotland on Sunday mentioned here a few weeks ago and I love the photos taken by Debra Hurford Brown and I would especially like to thank Tessa Williams who contacted me for this article and who has been a real star!
Tessa is currently putting her wonderful book about perfumes (read her blog here) and I'm very looking forward to seeing it!

The BODIE and FOU Blog in Inside Out magazine!!

Wow...we have been blessed with some amazing PR recently. First there was my home featured in the gorgeous French MILK magazine (text in English here) which was also featured in Dutch magazine 101 Woonideen, an interview for Scotland on Sunday and then yesterday I answered an interview for ELLE DECORATION (Elle Deco!! I mean this has been on my wish list since the day I started B&F!!!).
To top it up, this morning I received a pdf from Inside Out magazine featuring my blog as one of 6 blogs to bookmarks and I'm in great company with Blooming Lovely, Shoe Box Dwelling, Oh How Very Lovely, Gardens in Unexpected Places, For The Love of Type.
So big thank you to Lee who wrote the piece. I told her that when she contacted me but it makes really happy because I genuinely love Inside Out which has always amazing styling and creative ideas and each time, we go to New-Zealand to visit Steve's family, I always get a copy. If you are in Australia or New-Zealand, you know what I'm talking about...right!?

The beautiful front cover of the November issue was styled by Vanessa Colyer Tay who was their in-house stylist for a few years and has recently left to pursue a freelance career. Check her work, it is very inspiring. Have a wonderful day and thanks to all of you for being part of our adventure!
