What are you up to this weekend?
For me, it will be a little run with Lucas, some shopping with my mum (I would love to take her to Islington), diner with friends tonight and hopefully some sewing tomorrow.

This week I loved....

Being pampered by Jo and photographed by Victoria Birkinshaw for RED magazine ! You can see behind-the-scene photos on Instagram. I'll feature in their Feb issue to discuss Interior trends for 2013.

These pretty fonts (and free) spotted on La Mariée Aux Pieds Nus

These gorgeous sheep skins from Mechant Design

These eco-friendly, animal free-testing soaps

Reading The Simple Things magazine (issue 3 is now in kiosk and I love it!)

Happy thoughts for the weekend...

What are you up to this weekend?
It has been quite full on this week for me. We are now very busy with Xmas orders and I'm trying to keep on top of everything while planning our next office move at the end of January which, by the way, I'm super excited about!

January is by far my favourite month as it is usually then that I take a look at my life, what I have achieved, what needs to be done/improve and try to make things better (see fine-tuning resolutions here) and I see it as a very good omen to move into new office spaces at the beginning of the year, in a place I really wanted to work from a few years ago - but more of this later.

Have you had a chance to read all the other inspirational posts on Kelly Hoppen's blog

Reading the one from Holly Becker, who is behind Decor8 one of the most influential design blogs, I realised she had launched Decor8 same year and same month that I launched BODIE and FOU - how funny! It was a very inspiring article too.
I had the chance to meet Holly several times and even took her blogging course (which I recommend). She is one person who I rate highly. She has made a huge success of her blog Decor8 and her blogging courses. Then she launched her first book Decorate which became a best-seller translated in 12 languages (that's very very impressive!!)
and has now launched her second book Decorate Workshop which is bound to be come another best-seller. I can relate to her struggle and the challenges she had to face to go through and would love to have a conversation with her one day to see how she achieves balance in her personal life.

This motivational campaign with Kelly came at the right time for me. I was feeling quite disheartened recently. I don't always get the work/family balance right but I have someone at home who cares deeply and I need to keep trying to make it right for us while "aiming for the stars" and writing this motivational post for Kelly Hoppen kind of helped me to see how much I've achieved in the past 7 years. So I'm kind of starting my fine-tuning resolutions a bit earlier just to process everything and make 2013 better for my family, my team and myself.
So here are a few stars to brighten your weekend and some of them make gorgeous Christmas presents.

Happy thoughts for the weekend....

I meant to do this post on Friday but I ran out of time. What are you up to today?

I've just been for a little 5K run and kicked off my day with a healthy breakfast. I have been slacking for a few weeks but I need to get back into because the next few weeks in the shop are going to be a marathon
Last night I realised that I was allergic to Lancôme Renergie Lift volumetry yeux - So annoyed!! Instead of reducing wrinkles and lines around my eyes, I ended up with puffy eyes looking like a Panda. So today I'm gonna explore a more natural way with brands like Origins, Kieh'ls, Aesop and get a few samples before committing to a brand. Which product are you using for wrinkles around your eyes?

This week I loved....
discovering Les Carnets Parisiens which made my day! Gorgeous, gorgeous food styling!
taking part in this fabulous online auction,
pulling the names of 3 winners for this competition
and this afternoon, I may take my mum to We Make London at Spitafields market.
Have a great Sunday xoxo

{Thank you for leaving a comment. Reading them always makes me very happy}

et cet aprèms', je vais peut-etre emmener ma mère à We Make London à Spitafields market.
Je vous souhaite une bonne journée xoxo

{Merci de laisser un commentaire. Cela me fait toujours tr
ès plaisir de les lire}

Happy thoughts for the weekend

What are you up to this weekend?
Tonight, we are off to a dinner party at my friend's place. Emma is Swedish, gorgeous, has three beautiful girls, a full time job and still manage to run on a weekly basis. Each time I see her, I feel inspired!
Mila will stay there for a sleepover. I don't know if it is a city thing, because I don't remember having so many playdates and sleepovers when I was young, growing up in the countryside but I think it's great for the girls to have so many playdates and sleepovers. It can only improve their social skills and independence.
My brother is now back in London so on Saturday, we are going to do some photos together on Saturday. I'm very excited because our last shoot together was for the catalogue this Summer when we shot this workspace.
And now that the black matte masking tape and pastels one are back in stock, I'm gonna gave a bit of fun at home doing more moodboards like these two I made above.

This week, I loved this Gold montage,

I can't wait for this exciting Wine tasting/fashion night, will be fun to meet everyone and I hope you can join in,

and I felt very very inspired by all these stylist jobs. It is one course that I would love to take!
Have a great weekend
