What Color of Blue are You?

As we continue our focus on [BLUE] Royalty and Fashion Week, I'd like to share a few galleries I have created on Olioboard.

First, take a look at a Lighting Gallery created with products from IKEA.

My inspiration behind this gallery comes from the True Blue Collection only offered at limited IKEA locations.  Each piece shown above is from IKEA and can be found online.

Next is a paint gallery filled with blue colors from Benjamin Moore for you to choose from.  Which collection of blues is your favorite, four to choose from?  Each accessory item, including the upholstered bench you see, is from West Elm

How about a little cushion?  Featured is a Pillow Wall I created on Olioboard with an online company called Wayfair. Their mission is To make Wayfair your favorite place online to buy anything for your home.

Finally, choose your favorite fabrics for custom details that cannot be found anywhere else.

Fabrics & trims from Wesco Fabrics, Fabricut and Kravet

Choose your top fabrics picks to coordinate perfectly with paint colors, lighting and pillows.  Bring new life to a space in your home with these four options.  It doesn't have to cost a fortune, just a little bit time & inspiration.

Now a little more fashion. Yesterday was the final day of Fashion Week NYC.  Below I'm sharing two more runway photos featuring [BLUE] Royalty.

On a different note:

This week I had the opportunity to join in on a Twitter Chat with kbtribe, led by lighting expert & designer James Bedell.  James is based in New York City and launched JPB Lighting in 2011, an independent lighting design firm specializing in special events such as theatrical productions & launch parties for major corporations. The lighting industry is a facsinating one, evolving as quickly or quicker as the computer world.  I look forward to sharing about lighting in future posts.

Also, I am really excited to share news about an upcoming blogging feature for the month of October that Snob Interior Design is participating in.  Details will follow as soon as I have them.

Have a Fantastic Friday!

Fab Fabrics

I love fabrics and I love color!

I can flip through fabric books & samples for hours every day.  I have been hooked on Vervain fabrics since my trip to the Denver Design Center two weeks ago.

The Barry Dixon Collection is definitely my favorite.

I'm in love with Ishtar! The color Cinnabar is as yummy as orange & raspberry sherbet.

This pattern comes in 5 different color ways.

Simply divine, a barrel chair covered in Ishtar.

I can't wait to flip through my fabric books today, it makes my day.

LAUNCH: A Day Of Design

This week I had the pleasure of attending LAUNCH: A Day Of Design at the Denver Design District.

This post chronicles my day in a life of a designer through Instagram

My day begins at Wesco Fabrics Showroom.

Marla Gentry and me enjoying the new fabrics & window designs.

Dick Gentry and designer also enjoying the seminar.

Haute Couture Inspired treatments with a touch of Yves.

Next stop, Grange Showroom.

Love the sliding bookcase to hide a tv.

Combinations of black, white, hot pink and lavender are spectacular.

Lovely little locker.

Industrial details, fantastic.
Amazing displays by Grange on Wednesday!

Break for lunch with beautiful textured views at Ebanista showroom.

For the final stop, Moda Antica.

Kristen Kilgore of Fabricut spoke about the new Charlotte Moss collection.  Love these new fabrics and trims!

As I peruse through walls and walls of the fabrics from all over the world, I can see the trend in LARGE prints.
Suzanni inspiration is everywhere.

I have to say my favorite pattern right now is this Ishtar print by Barry Dixon.  I love all five colors it comes in!

After spending a good 3 hours looking through fabrics, it was time to go home.

I cannot tell you how much fun I had!  A day of inspiration, learning and meeting with wonderful & talented people.

I cannot wait for the next event.
