Design Crush: Angie Hranowsky
Check out local designer, Angie Hranowsky, in the Instant Room portion of the latest House Beautiful!

I was shocked to realize that I have yet to do a post on this fab designer...I thought I already had as I am a HUGE fan of her work! Angie is a local designer and I love to see someone mixin' it up in such a traditional town like Charleston. She started her career as a graphic designer but added interior design to her ever growing repertoire after studying at Parsons in 2004. Since then her career has flourished with many clients throughout the Southeast and Midwest. Her work has been published in several trade magazines and as I have come to realize...I have been saving these images for my idea books way before I learned who she was! Cheers to you Angie! And if you like her work, check out the post I did on the Coastal Living Cottage House she designed in I'On last year or visit her website or her blog.

Design Crush: Massucco Warner Miller

Melissa Warner, Julie Massucco, and Carrie Miller

The three principals each previously worked at top design firms in San Francisco and New York but they felt that their impact would be greater as a team. The result is Massucco Warner Miller Interior Design and Decoration- a group of highly skilled and experienced designers who each bring their unique style and energy to the table and truly enjoy working together. One of the draws of the trio, beyond their down-to-earth, friendly demeanor and upbeat style, is their ability to bring a freshness and vibrancy to projects ranging from elegantly detailed residences in Presidio Heights to handsome, modern spaces in West Hollywood, or mid century, kid-friendly homes in Seattle. Using classical motifs in a modern way, the designers work closely with their clients and craftspeople to achieve exceptional spaces that reflect their clients' personalities and lifestyles. -via their website.

Design Crush: Tia Zoldan
.jpg)

You might remember this feature from Cottage Living a while back. It is one of my all time favs! The designer is L.A. based Tia Zoldan who describes her work as classic with a bohemian edge. LOVE! She is a self professed art junkie and got her start in store design for J. Crew but left the corporate world to raise her two daughters. Her friends were so enamored with her style that they requested her design services, which eventually led her to start Zoldan Interiors in 2004.
I was thrilled to see that she has her own blog, The Roof Over My Head. A fellow blogger got a interview with her that you can check out here. She has since redecorated her home and shared with us some images on her website. I love to see how a designer's home evolves over time! Here is an updated photo of her living room.

It seems that her adorable children have inherited her passion for art. Look how stinkin' cute this photo is of her daughter creating a charcoal masterpiece...

PRECIOUS!!!

Design Crush: Sarah Richardson

I gave up watching HGTV a long time ago since 99% of it is absolute crap but I saw Sarah's House while visiting with my parents and have now set my dvr to record all of these episodes. I have always liked her work and think it is a great (and actually realistic) approach to a design show. The show illustrates her selecting a home to purchase then renovating it and finally decorating it also so you can see the full process.
Sarah Richardson's background is in television production doing styling and set decoration. She now has a thriving design firm, four tv show's and several product lines including a line of paints and indoor and outdoor furniture. Sarah: Keep up the good work and I hope you are enjoying living me dream!

Design Crush: India Hicks

When I grow up, I want to be India Hicks. I seriously covet every aspect of her life from her impeccable design genes and breath taking beauty to her amazing island home and laid back lifestyle to her adorable family....I mean look at this....

See. Now you want to be her too, don't you?

If you don't own this book, go get it pronto. Although it might make you super depressed if you are land locked.
