studio bon is a textile company created by artistic painter, bonnee. who is named after her grandmother. and get this, her grandmother was also an artist. how lovely is that? she creates hand-printed, custom fabrics that are just perfect for any designer who likes to design with beautiful, unique patterns and bright colors. here are a couple of sample fabrics i am loving from her collections. keep in mind, she also does custom work. jolene.

this wavy fabric pattern is called richter. you know, after the richter scale. the scale that qualifies the amount of seismic activity in an earthquake. barf. i hate earthquakes. though, i don't hate this fabric because of them. let's not get too silly.

the pink color above and yellow below go great together. (mental note).

Fortuny

like many, i have a great fondness for all things fortuny. there is a overwhelming rich history you can see and feel in each product and fabric that is produced by fortuny. yes there have been many a knock off but you can always tell what's real fortuny and what is not. i have included some examples of there newest offerings for 2010. hope you enjoy.

i wanted to hopefully be one of the first people to introduce you to clodagh's eco friendly fabric line in collaboration with duralee. she has always been idolized in the design community, and now that she has a fabric line, especially one that has been created with green in mind, i have to think all of us interior designers will be proud to use these beautiful textiles on future projects. she has titled this new line 'global passage' as she is utilizing all of the colors from nature, much like she does when she is designing interiors. enjoy. jolene.
