must haves.

from time to time i see bloggers plugging products. and most of those time i put those products in my notes under the heading, 'things to buy.' i find blogs the best way to get amazing user reviews from actual users (and ones i admire). i recently came across this surf spray and it works like wonders. i mean i live by the beach, so it only makes sense that i would have 'beachy' hair. if you want that messy beach look, go get yourself some of this. light, smells good, and really works. perfect for the summer. jolene.

my last plug is going to be for this beauty. my iphone 4. to be honest, i'm not sure what i would do without this phone. i was a blackberry user before and really had my blinders on. every time someone convinced of making the switch, i felt that i had some type of stock in blackberry and would defend it to the end. now that i'm on the other side, the right side, i laugh at myself because it's not even a comparison. i could go on for days about this gem, so email me, but if you're teetering between any phone and the iphone. hands down, iphone every time. you'll thank me later.

nails nails nails.

this isn't a design post. tg. it's a beauty post. if you haven't heard of axxium then it's best you hear of it from me. i'm coming from a place of happiness with this product; i am a very satisfied customer. axxium is from opi, and it is a gel lacquer that your manicurist uses in place of standard nail polish during a typical manicure. if you're like me and you don't want fake nails., this is a perfect solution. i have nothing against fake nails at all. i am just not that type of girly girl. in fact, three months ago was my first manicure EVER. so yeah, i grew up on a farm. i knew that if i got a manicure, they would chip and peel within the next 24 hours, and i didn't want to waste my money. until now. this gel will make your manicure last up to 3 weeks without chipping. true story. they have limited colors (see below), but the last time i was at the salon i overheard the manicurist mention they could mix colors to get a desired hue. how cool is that? it's like having fake nails, but without the maintenance. well, that's my soap box. i hope you will stand on it with me. jolene.

will yu-be my new best friend?

ok! so i just came from a rather painful spa appointment filled with microdermabrasion, a pumpkin peel..ouch; followed by 15 minutes of extractions. gotta love it ladies! so here's the good part , my technician turned me on to this product that has apparently been around for the last 75 years. not sure why i have not tried it until now, anyway i bought the yu-be hand cream and lip therapy today. i had seen this brand of products before in stores but like i said had never tried it until today. WELL it happens to be the most amazing thing i've had on my hands and lips for a very long time. jolene insert joke here. :) I highly recommend this product, i put it on one time and immediately felt a different in softness. love you yu-be!! oh! and if you happen to be in the area apparently they also sell it at fred segal.
