it's the middle of july. i know, i'm captain obvious. but really. mid july? wasn't it just the first of the year? i guess it really hit me today when the socal "june gloom (that decided to come out in may and leave in july)" was relieved of its duties by the ridiculously hot sun. i know, is that something really to complain about? nice, california weather. leave it to me to find something horrible about where i live.
i have been thinking a lot about photographers lately as we get ready to shoot our second completed home. though weeks away, i am still always looking at mood shots for staging, accessorizing, and just plain beautiful interiors. while keeping all of that in mind, i came across richard powers, a famed photographer. a perfect find for this task. enjoy these shots below. they are mind blowing. jolene.

can't take my eyes off of those floating stairs. i'm not sure i would be able to come to the kitchen in the middle of the night for a snack. i may have to have a mini refrigerator next to my bed.
eames lounge chair makes every setting. every time.
this particular shot had a lot going on. and because i'm so impatient, i'm not really sure i have even taken it all in yet.
and we are back to our turquoise molding. holy california hotness.
